Rie Kugimiya has officially stepped into the role of Yaku Yakuzen—Kusuri’s grandmother and Rentarō’s latest romantic interest—starting with episode 8 of the anime’s third season.
The third season of the television anime adaptation of Rikito Nakamura and Yukiko Nozawa’s hit manga, The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You (Kimi no koto ga Dai Dai Dai Dai Daisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo), announced that Rie Kugimiya has joined the voice cast as Yaku Yakuzen. The character made her on-screen debut in Sunday’s eighth episode.

Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the original manga in English and outlines the chaotic premise:
After enduring a heartbreaking streak of 100 consecutive rejections, Aijo Rentaro finally turns to a shrine for guidance. A matchmaking god appears to explain that Aijo’s string of bad luck was actually a celestial clerical error: due to a cosmic mix-up, Aijo is destined to have 100 soulmates! However, there’s a steep penalty—if he fails to reciprocate the feelings of any of his destined partners, they will all suffer gruesome, fatal accidents. Now, young women are confessing their love to him left and right, turning his life into a hilarious, high-stakes romantic comedy where he has to love them all without causing a catastrophe!
The current season also features a talented supporting cast, including Kaori Ishihara as Chiyo Iin, Ayana Taketatsu as Nadi, Hana Tamegai as Yamame Yasashiki, and Aoi Koga as Momiji Momi.
Behind the scenes, Hikaru Sato (Dropkick on My Devil!) returns to direct the series at Bibury Animation Studio. Takashi Aoshima (Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!) oversees the scripts, while Akane Yano (Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki) continues handling character designs. The musical score is composed by Shūhei Mutsuki, Shunsuke Takizawa (Trytonelabo), and eba under the Lantis label.
For the opening theme, the voice cast performing as the “Rentaro Family” sing the track “Daisuki♡Zutto Eien ni♡” (I Love You♡Always and Forever♡).
The third season officially premiered on Tokyo MX on July 5 at 10:30 p.m., with subsequent broadcasts on Sun TV and BS11.
