Gintoki Sakata and his companions take on a job to help Seita, a young pickpocket who is desperately searching for his long-lost mother—believed to be Hinowa, the premier courtesan of Yoshiwara. However, the subterranean city is ruled with an iron fist by Housen, the ruthless “Night King” belonging to the combat-obsessed Yato clan.
