On Monday, August 24, Anime Limited is launching a Collector’s Edition Blu-ray of Mobile Suit Gundam Seed FREEDOM. This special release comes packed with a 48-key animation book, a 60-page collector’s art book, and a unique numbered art card.
Alongside the collector’s set, a standard Blu-ray edition will also be available. The feature film’s official synopsis sets the stage:
“In C.E.75, the fighting still continues. There are independence movements and aggression by Blue Cosmos… In order to calm the situation, a global peace-monitoring agency called COMPASS is established, with Lacus as its first president. As members of COMPASS, Kira and his comrades intervene into various regional battles. Then, a newly established nation called Kingdom of Foundation proposes a joint operation against a Blue Cosmos stronghold…”
Serving as a continuation of both Mobile Suit Gundam Seed and Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny, the movie was produced by Bandai Namco Filmworks. Mitsuo Fukuda, who directed the original Mobile Suit Gundam Seed series, returned to direct this installment. Fukuda also co-authored the screenplay alongside Liu Goto and his late wife, Chiaki Morosawa, while Hisashi Hirai returned to handle character designs.
Additionally, Crunchyroll is preparing the home video release for Dr. Stone Season 4 Part 1, which collects the initial 12 episodes of the season. Physical copies will come with a bonus set of three collectible Tarot cards featuring artwork of Senku, Ryusui, and Gen. The release is summarized as follows:
“After stopping the Petrification Kingdom, Senku and his friends set their sights on the moon. The plan is for a voyage team with a revived Tsukasa to gather resources in America. But the path to progress has a roadblock – another genius scientist!”
