According to AnimeBluRayUK, Amazon UK has added several upcoming anime home video releases to its catalog.
Two new Blu-ray titles are slated for release on October 26 under the publisher name “Acorn.” At present, the Amazon listings do not specify if this label is affiliated with Acorn Media UK, the video distributor currently operating as a subsidiary of RLJ Entertainment. The two titles coming on this date are:
- My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha: Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon, I’m Out for Revenge! (pictured right)
- Sword of the Demon Hunter
My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha, produced by J.C. Staff in 2025, centers on a formidable Level 999 Overlord. Amazon provides the following synopsis:
“After being recruited to join the Concord of Tribes, a group consisting of one each of the other eight races, Light was shocked when they suddenly attempted to kill him! Miraculously managing to escape and survive in the deepest depths of a dungeon, Light is astonished to learn that he’s much more powerful than anyone imagined and his thoughts quickly turn to revenge. It won’t be easy, and it may take years, but with the aid of his newly summoned Ever-Seeking Maid and his increased abilities, he’ll cut a bloody path through their dead and dying bodies!”
Sword of the Demon Hunter, created by Yokohama Animation Lab in 2025, follows an ageless, youthful-looking warrior battling demons in Edo-period Japan. Amazon describes the plot as follows:
“When Jinta defeats a powerful demon, he gains its power but also a terrible prophecy, one that will shatter his adopted family and leave him wandering the lands in search of resolution. The shrine maiden he’d sworn to protect is dead and her killer missing, he changes his name and travels Japan in search of his missing sister and the foretold destiny he dreads but must seek. How many miles must he journey? How many years will it take? As the decades pass he becomes a legend, helping those in need along the way as he marches toward his fate in Sword of the Demon Hunter!”
Additionally, Amazon UK has listed a 4K UHD Steelbook Edition of Makoto Shinkai‘s 2022 feature film Suzume, scheduled for an October 12 release. Distributed by Crunchyroll—which has previously handled UK home video releases for the movie—this edition will come bundled with four art cards.
Amazon outlines the story of the film as:
“Suzume‘s journey begins when she meets a young man looking for a door. Following him, she finds one and reaches for the knob. Doors open across Japan, unleashing destruction. Now Suzume must close them to prevent further disaster.”
