The official website for the television anime adaptation of writer Hamuo and illustrator Mo’s light novel series, Hell Mode – The Hardcore Gamer Dominates in Another World with Garbage Balancing, has announced several new voice cast members for its upcoming second season.
The newly revealed cast additions include (with unofficial character name romanizations):
- Yuuki Sanpei as Sigur, the supreme general of Rosenheim
- Yasuyuki Kase as Lukidral, a general of Rosenheim
- Kō Bonkobara as Gatoruga, the spirit summoner of Rosenheim
- Satoshi Tsuruoka as Graster, a high-rank demon
- Takaaki Torashima as Neftira, a long-range demon
- Shinya Takahashi as Yagof, a demon featuring hyena-like vision
Staff and Production
Masato Tamagawa returns to direct the second season at Yokohama Animation Lab, joined by returning scriptwriter Daishiro Tanimura and character designer Kei Tsushima. A broad team of composers—including Misaki Tsuchida, Junko Nakajima, Reiko Abe, Moyu Kanazaki, Kaho Sawada, Kanade Sakuma, BeauDamian, Tsugumi Tanaka, Shūichirō Fukuhiro, Mayo Kurihara, and Shin Miki—is handling the music. Additionally, Romanha Marshmallow performs the new opening theme song, “○✕△□.”
Broadcast and Streaming Details
Season 2 premiered on Tokyo MX on July 3, with subsequent airings on MBS, BS Nippon TV, and AT-X. For international viewers, HIDIVE is simultaneously streaming the series as it airs in Japan.
Looking back at the show’s debut, the first season premiered on January 9 on Tokyo MX, followed by broadcasts on MBS, BS Nippon TV, ABEMA, d Anime Store, U-NEXT, and Anime Hōdai. HIDIVE also streamed the initial season concurrently with its Japanese broadcast and later released an English-dubbed version.
Background
Hamuo initially began serializing the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in November 2019, where it remains active. Earth Star Entertainment later picked up the series for print publication, launching in July 2020. Furthermore, an ongoing manga adaptation by Tetta debuted on the Comic Earth Star platform in October 2020.
