Bandai Namco Filmworks has released a striking new poster alongside the official main trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation of Chair-Tank, confirming its premiere date for October 4, 2026.
Set on Guicheng Island, notorious for being the most perilous city on the planet, the narrative follows Nagi Taira, a feared elite assassin. After taking a bullet while shielding his younger sister, Shizuka, Nagi falls into a coma and is left permanently bound to a wheelchair.
Desperate to heal him, Shizuka uncovers a shocking method to temporarily revive her brother’s consciousness: Nagi snaps back to awareness whenever he senses murderous intent directed his way. To fully restore him, she starts accepting the most lethal contracts available, using her brother as a weapon against genetically enhanced assassins.
Chair-Tank is being brought to life by Polygon Pictures, a studio renowned for its work on Star Wars: Visions and Love, Death & Robots. The series is co-directed by Tadahiro “Tady” Yoshihira and Hiroaki Ando, with an original score composed by Masaru Yokoyama.
