The official website for the Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. anime series has revealed a fresh addition to the voice cast for its second season. Yusuke Shirai has joined the ensemble to portray Shō Manao, a gentle and enigmatic figure with an entirely blank past and history.
Based on the manga by Sekka Iwata and Yū Aoki—which was published in English by Viz Media and MANGA Plus—the workplace-comedy series follows Kana Sakuragi. Despite being exceptionally organized and motivated, Kana struggles through job interviews until a sudden monster attack thrusts her into the world of professional magical girls at Magilumiere Co. Ltd.
The upcoming season features several updates to the production team at J.C.STAFF. Riki Fukushima takes over as the new director, joined by script supervisor Michiko Yokote. Meanwhile, character designer Masahiro Fujii and composer Makoto Miyazaki return from the first season.
Additional new staff members include assistant director Hiroyasu Oda, sound director Yoshikazu Iwanami, art director Shun Yoshii, CG director Shunsuke Kasuga, and editor Yūji Kondō. Asuka Hino transitions to color key artist, and Yūsuke Noguchi steps up as the compositing director of photography.
On the musical front, VTuber Marine Houshou performs the ending theme song, "BooooM!!!," while syudou and Yūsei Yagi (FANTASTICS) team up to provide the opening theme, "Latte Magic."
The second season officially made its television debut on NTV. The first season previously ran from October to December 2024 and was streamed globally via Amazon Prime Video. The original Shonen Jump+ manga series concluded its 160-chapter run in July 2025, with its 18th and final compiled volume releasing in September.
