REMOW has announced a fresh key visual and a 2027 streaming and television premiere date for Necromancer Isekai: How I Went from Abandoned Villager to the Emperor’s Favorite. This upcoming series is the television anime adaptation of Nazuna Miki’s light novel series, originally titled Mukuwarenakatta Murabito A, Kizoku ni Hirowarete Dekiai Sareru Ue ni: Jitsu wa Motteita Densetsu-kyū no Kami Skill mo Kakusei Shita.
In addition to the release window, REMOW confirmed that Yoshihiro Akase has joined the production team as the sound director.

The story centers on Matteo, who is reincarnated as an aristocrat’s grandson. As he masters ancient magic and hatches dragon eggs, the emperor takes a personal interest in his extraordinary abilities—unaware of Matteo’s hidden identity.
Masahiko Komino (Gibiate) is directing the project at studio l-a-unch・BOX. Tsutomu Kaneko (Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne, Master Keaton) is handling series composition, while Junko Yamanaka (Aoharu x Machinegun, Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life) is in charge of character designs. The anime is being produced by GENCO, following its initial announcement back in 2023.
The underlying novel series first launched on the “Shōsetsuka ni Narō” (Let’s Become Novelists) platform in May 2020. Shueisha began releasing the physical light novels in 2021, putting out the seventh volume in May 2024. Furthermore, Suzume Kumo launched a manga adaptation via Dash x Comic in December 2022, with Shueisha publishing the manga’s third compiled volume in May 2025.
