During their panel at Anime NYC on Saturday, Boys’ Love (BL) publisher Publang revealed a fresh batch of five upcoming titles, consisting of three manhwa and two web novels.
The newly unveiled slate features the manhwa Define the Relationship, The Hunter’s Gonna Lay Low, and PASSION, alongside the web novels Healer and The Hunter’s Gonna Lay Low. Further release specifics and dates will be shared at a later time.
Authored by Flona and illustrated by Chada, Define the Relationship can currently be read on Lezhin. Publang has announced plans to bring this series to print starting with the first two volumes.
Publang is set to publish both the original text and the manhwa adaptation for The Hunter’s Gonna Lay Low. The original story is written by 103, while the manhwa adaptation is handled by MAGMA with artwork by ligong. The manhwa is hosted on Manta. While the first two volumes of the manhwa adaptation will receive a print release, the original novel will be rolled out via web serialization.
Additionally, the publisher will release the first two print volumes of the PASSION manhwa. The series is written by Yuuji, adapted by Hound, and features art by GangJak. Readers can find the manhwa digitally on Tappytoon.
Publang will also introduce Mechanist’s web novel Healer to fans through web serialization.
According to the publisher, this announcement builds upon their ongoing strategy of licensing both original novels and their corresponding manhwa adaptations together, following in the footsteps of previous releases like Payback, Define the Relationship, and PASSION.
