A fresh promotional video released on Sunday unveiled the voice cast for three brand-new characters making their debut in Eiga Meitantei Precure! Fushigi na Niwa to Futari no Himitsu (Star Detective Precure! The Movie: The Mysterious Garden and the Secret of 2 People). The upcoming film marks the cinematic outing for Star Detective Precure!, the 23rd main installment in the long-running magical girl franchise.

The newly announced voice actors and their respective roles include:
- Akari Kitō as Karin (pictured center), a pivotal 14-year-old girl holding the key to the plot
- Nobunaga Shimazaki as Alan (pictured left), a fairy tasked with protecting Karin
- Kōki Uchiyama as Rain (pictured right), a fairy who reaches out to the Detective Precures for assistance

The cinematic plot kicks off when the Detective Precures take on the “X Mark Incident.” Their investigation takes an unexpected turn with the arrival of Rain, who leads the heroines to “Karin’s Garden,” a picturesque sanctuary currently overrun by troublesome little entities known as “Dame Dame.” As the team confronts these creatures, they begin to unravel the magical secrets hidden within the garden.
Additionally, familiar faces from previous series—specifically You and Idol Precure♪ and Wonderful Precure!—are confirmed to make appearances.
Behind the scenes, Hanako Ueda is directing the feature. The script is penned by Yoshimi Narita, while Erika Fukasawa and Misaki Umase handle the musical score. Emiko Miyamoto is pulling double duty as the character designer and chief animation director.
The broader production team features art director Risa Fujii, color designer Satoshi Takezawa, director of photography for compositing Takumi Arai, and production manager Hirotaka Naota.
On the musical front, Yūka Masui and Chihaya Yoshitake collaborate on the ending theme, “FIRST PRISM,” while Ami Ishii provides the insert track, “First Step.”
The movie is scheduled to hit theaters across Japan on September 18.
The television adaptation of Star Detective Precure! initially premiered on February 1 via ABC TV, TV Asahi, and their regional network affiliates. International viewers can catch the series through Crunchyroll, which broadcasts the anime globally across North, Central, and South America, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and CIS territories.
The TV series focuses on Anna Akechi, a middle school sophomore living in Makoto Mirai Town. Her life takes a supernatural turn on her birthday when a companion fairy named Pochitan triggers a time slip, sending her back from 2027 to the year 1999. There, she crosses paths with fellow student Mikuru Kobayashi, an aspiring detective. Together, the pair witness local disruptions caused by Phantom Thieves targeting prized possessions, prompting them to transform into the Precure detectives and use their wits to safeguard the public’s happiness.
The television project features Ami Ishii singing the opening theme, “Heart ni Hint! Meitantei Precure!,” alongside Akane Kumada and Yūka Masui performing the ending song, “Naze? Nazo?! ANSWER.”
