According to listings from various retailers, the 13th compiled book volume of Tsutomu’s comedy manga Ojisan wa Kawaii Mono ga Osuki. (Older Men Like Cute Things) is set to be the series’ final installment. The final volume is scheduled for release on October 15.
The story revolves around Mitsutaka Oji, a 40-year-old corporate worker who maintains a cool, handsome, and professional exterior. Beneath his polished facade, however, he hides an adorable secret: an intense passion for small, cute things. The series follows his humorous daily life as he tries to keep his adorable obsession hidden from the world.
Tsutomu originally serialized the manga on Flex Comics’ Comic Polaris platform, where it launched in July 2017. Flex Comics published the series’ 12th volume on August 7.
In addition to the manga’s conclusion, the franchise is expanding with a television anime adaptation produced by Liden Films. The anime is slated to premiere on Tokyo MX on October 4 at 10:00 p.m., with subsequent broadcasts on BS Asahi and YTV. Previously, the heartwarming comedy also inspired a live-action television series adaptation in 2020.
