Los Angeles Event Highlights Top Anime and Voice Talent

The Hollywood Creative Alliance—formerly known as the Hollywood Critics Association—honored the television adaptation of Kamome Shirahama’s Witch Hat Atelier manga with the Best Anime Series trophy at the 2026 Astra TV Awards on Saturday, August 15.
English voice actors also earned notable recognition during the ceremony:
Anjali Kunapaneni and Patrick Seitz both secured nominations in the Best Lead Voice Over Performance in a Series category for their English dub work. Kunapaneni was nominated for bringing Coco to life in Witch Hat Atelier, while Seitz was recognized for his portrayal of Keiji in Rooster Fighter.
Additionally, Joshua Waters received a nomination for Best Supporting Voice Over Performance in a Series for his role as Qifrey in Witch Hat Atelier.
Following its April 6 premiere across Tokyo MX and other networks, Witch Hat Atelier has already been greenlit for a second season.
The Hollywood Creative Alliance, which brings together critics, journalists, actors, creators, and various industry professionals, organizes four distinct annual events: the Astra Creative Arts Awards, Astra Film Awards, Astra Podcast Awards, and Astra TV Awards.
Previous anime achievements at these ceremonies include the first Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle film receiving the “Animation is Cinema” honorary prize at the Astra Film Awards in January. Furthermore, the 2025 Astra TV Awards saw Dragon Ball Daima take home Best Anime Series, alongside Aleks Le winning Best Lead Voice-Over Performance for voicing Sung Jinwoo in Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow-.
