Back in 2023, Capcom brought together the heavy hitters of the Resident Evil universe—featuring Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield, and Rebecca Chambers—for a massive crossover event on Alcatraz Island. This monumental survival-horror film, titled Resident Evil: Death Island, was a collaborative project between Capcom, Quebico, and TMS Entertainment.
Now, this fourth entry in the animated movie series is making the jump to print. Titan Manga is set to publish Resident Evil: Death Island Vol. 1, a biopunk horror adaptation that expands upon the original story with intense action, harrowing encounters, and deep character drama.
According to the publisher, the 224-page black-and-white graphic novel plunges readers back into the grim atmosphere of Alcatraz Island, where the iconic heroes must contain a fresh bioterror threat. The adaptation is illustrated by ZINO (also known as Zino Kodakujii or Zi Nuo Ye), whose past credits include Phantom Blade and Unity of Heaven. Initially serialized on Kadokawa’s Comic Hu platform, the English-language collection arrives in Western bookstores on September 29 with a retail price of $12.99.

Looking ahead, the Resident Evil franchise has even more on the horizon. A new live-action film directed by Zach Cregger (Weapons) hits theaters on September 18. Additionally, Capcom is developing a remake of the classic Dreamcast title Resident Evil: Code Veronica, which is scheduled to launch across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC sometime in 2027.
