The official website for the television adaptation of Shinobu Kaitani’s Liar Game manga has revealed four additional cast members joining the series:
- Daisuke Namikawa as Solario, a Liar Game Office dealer who oversees the Revival Round following Round 3. He is easily recognized by the sun-themed mask covering his right eye.
- Yūya Uchida as Sho Kikuchi, a bespectacled participant in the high-stakes games.
- Hiroko Ushida as Tadako Kosaka, a determined and strong-willed long-haired contestant.
- Minoru Shiraishi as Yuichi Nishida, a timid participant frequently seen wearing a tracksuit.
About the Story
Distributed by REMOW, the plot follows Nao Kanzaki, an honest college student who unexpectedly receives a mysterious package containing 100 million yen and an invitation to the Liar Game. Thrust into a ruthless psychological competition driven by deception and betrayal, Nao struggles to survive until she enlists the help of Shinichi Akiyama, a genius former con artist. Together, they must navigate a treacherous environment where absolute trust can prove fatal.

Broadcast and Streaming
The anime premiered in Japan on TV Tokyo and its affiliates on April 6 (effectively April 7). Spanning a continuous six-month run with no broadcast breaks, the second half of the series kicked off on July 7.
Crunchyroll holds the international streaming rights (excluding Japan and China), having hosted the world premiere of the first two episodes at Sakura-Con in Seattle. Additionally, AMEDIATEKA handles distribution for the Russian Federation.
Franchise Background
Shinobu Kaitani originally serialized the Liar Game manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump from 2005 to January 2015, concluding with 19 compiled volumes. Kaitani later launched a short serialization titled Liar Game: The Last Game in Shueisha’s Grand Jump Mucha magazine.
Before the new anime adaptation, the manga inspired two live-action films, two television series, two online series, and a 2023 stage play. Kaitani’s previous work, ONE OUTS, was also adapted into a television anime in 2008.
