A brand-new music video for Haikyu!! has dropped, pairing the beloved series with BURNOUT SYNDROMES’ hit track “PHOENIX.” Released as the 58th installment in the JUMP MV series, the video made its debut on the official Shonen Jump YouTube channel.
The special collaboration pairs iconic manga panels drawn by Haruichi Furudate with “PHOENIX,” which famously served as the opening theme for the fourth season, Haikyu!! TO THE TOP.

BURNOUT SYNDROMES is no stranger to the franchise, having contributed several unforgettable theme songs throughout the anime’s run. Alongside “PHOENIX,” the band also delivered “FLY HIGH!!” for Season 2 and “Hikariare” for Season 3, both of which have also received their own dedicated JUMP music videos in the past.
This release coincides with August 19, widely celebrated by fans in Japan as “Haikyu!! Day.” Additionally, the Haikyu!! RECEPTION #3 program is set to broadcast later today, promising fresh updates regarding Haikyu the Movie: VS The Little Giant and the Haikyu!! Where the Monsters Go special anime.
Furthermore, the JUMP MV rollout also highlights the upcoming Haruichi Furudate Haikyu!! Exhibition: Challengers, marking the manga’s third major original art exhibition.
Written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate, the Haikyu!! manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2012 to 2020. Studio Production I.G brought the sports epic to life across multiple television seasons and films. Following the initial 2014 anime adaptation, Season 2 aired between late 2015 and early 2016, while Season 3 focused entirely on the thrilling Karasuno versus Shiratorizawa showdown in the fall of 2016. Season 4, Haikyuu!! To the Top, spanned 25 episodes across two separate cours in 2020. Beyond the main TV series and movies, the expansive franchise features numerous recap specials, OVAs, side stories, stage adaptations, and video games.
The first feature film, HAIKYU: The Dumpster Battle, arrived on streaming platforms like Netflix and Crunchyroll on October 31, 2024. Fans can also check out our official review.
