The production team behind Star Detective Precure!—the 23rd main installment in the long-running Precure franchise—unveiled a fresh ending theme song alongside brand-new character designs and cast details.

Fans can get a sneak peek at the new ending theme, “Itsuka Wakaru ☆ Kitto Aeru” (Someday We’ll Understand and Definitely Meet), performed by Akane Kumada and Yūka Masui, in the promotional video below:

Additionally, staff shared new artwork showcasing the “Star Kiraring” forms for Cure Answer, Cure Mystic, Cure Eclair, and Cure Arcana.

Looking ahead to the silver screen, a special visual was released highlighting the Future Form of Cure Answer for the upcoming theatrical release, Eiga Meitantei Precure! (Star Detective Precure! The Movie).

Star Detective Precure! originally premiered on February 1 across ABC TV, TV Asahi, and affiliated networks. International audiences can stream the series through Crunchyroll in North, Central, and South America, as well as Europe, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, and CIS regions.
The story follows Anna Akechi, a second-year middle schooler living in Makoto Mirai Town. Her life takes a supernatural turn on her birthday when a companion fairy named Pochitan appears, accidentally sending her back in time from 2027 to 1999. There, she crosses paths with Mikuru Kobayashi, a fellow eighth-grader who dreams of becoming a master detective. When the duo encounters mysterious Phantom Thieves swiping people’s cherished belongings, they transform into Precure detectives, using their sharp wits to safeguard everyone’s smiles.
The series features Ami Ishii performing the opening theme, “Heart ni Hint! Meitantei Precure!” (Hint In My Heart! Star Detective Precure!), while Akane Kumada and Yūka Masui previously handled the earlier ending theme, “Naze? Nazo?! ANSWER” (Why? Mystery?! ANSWER).
Eiga Meitantei Precure! is scheduled to hit theaters in Japan on September 18.
