Netflix’s hit anime series Cyberpunk Edgerunners is officially returning for its 10-episode second season later this year, complete with a brand-new trailer.
Mark your calendars for October 20th, when Cyberpunk Edgerunners Season 2 officially drops. The fresh footage offers our very first listen to the main voice cast in action. The star-studded lineup features Valeria Rodriguez (Ranma ½), Kimoy Lee (Star Wars Visions, Monster Hunter Wilds), Nazeeh Tarsha (Genshin Impact, Persona 4 Revival), and the legendary Clancy Brown (SpongeBob SquarePants, Highlander, Invincible).
Ever since the second season’s initial announcement back in June, details have slowly emerged through early previews and brief promotional teases.
The debut season of Cyberpunk Edgerunners proved to be a massive commercial and critical success, raking in nearly 15 million hours of viewership during its launch week alone. Only time will tell if the upcoming sophomore run can match or even exceed the high bar set by its predecessor—fingers crossed!
It remains to be seen if the new episodes will spark a massive resurgence for Cyberpunk 2077 in the same way the first season did. Still, it’s an exciting period for the franchise overall. While we know that a full-fledged sequel to the game is officially in the pre-production pipeline with a new working title, concrete details have yet to surface.
