Umiko Seto’s boys-love romantic comedy manga, Osake ni Yowai Andō-san (The Alcohol-Lightweight Andō-san), is officially getting an AnimeFesta adaptation. The news was shared on August 12 via the official X (formerly Twitter) account of WWWave Corporation’s Continuer manga label, alongside a celebratory illustration drawn by Seto. Additional details regarding the project have not yet been announced.
The story follows Andō, a strict and no-nonsense systems engineer. For an entire year, his co-worker Kikuchi tries unsuccessfully to get him to crack a smile. However, everything changes when Kikuchi discovers that Andō has a very low tolerance for alcohol. Once he gets a drink, the stoic professional transforms into someone entirely different—clumsy, cheerful, and surprisingly seductive.
Seto originally debuted the manga in October 2024 on WWWave Corporation’s ComicFesta platform under the Continuer imprint. Suiseisha published the series’ first compiled volume in November 2025 and is scheduled to release the second volume on September 18.
WWWave Corporation operates both the ComicFesta web manga service and the AnimeFesta programming block. Over the past eight years, AnimeFesta has adapted more than 30 manga titles from ComicFesta into short-format anime series. These adaptations—often referred to by fans as "Sōryo-waku" series, a nickname stemming from the block’s first major adaptation—frequently feature two distinct versions: a censored broadcast cut for television and an uncensored "premium" version available online. WWWave distributes many of these titles internationally in English through its Coolmic platform, as well as the recently launched OceanVeil service.
