Kadokawa has revealed a new addition to the voice cast for the upcoming television anime adaptation of Hiro Oda’s light novel series, Even Though She’s a Timid Young Lady to the Max, She Agreed to Her Shrewd Fiancé’s Bet (Yowaki MAX Reijō nanoni, Ratsuwan Konyakusha-sama no Kake ni Notte Shimatta). Shizuka Ishigami has joined the project to voice a young Rufus Stan.
Alongside the cast announcement, Kadokawa released a special "visual video" featuring a voice drama titled "Aru Natsu no Hi no Futari" (Two People on a Certain Summer Day), which is currently available to stream.
The romantic comedy anime is scheduled to premiere in October. Nobuaki Nakanishi (I Shall Survive Using Potions!) is directing the series at the studio Jumondo. Hiroko Fukuda (Headhunted to Another World: From Salaryman to Big Four!) is handling the series composition, while Moe Hyūga and Natsuki Hamada are co-composing the music for Kadokawa.
About the Story:
The plot follows Pia, an ordinary graduate student who finds herself reincarnated as a 10-year-old background villainess inside an otome game. Knowing that the game’s plot ends with her engagement to the prime minister’s son, Rufus Stan, being called off and leading to her eventual banishment, she decides to take matters into her own hands. Pia proactively asks Rufus to break off their engagement while they are still young. However, her unusual request only deepens his interest in her, prompting him to propose a wager to see if he will actually end their engagement seven years down the road.
