On August 4, Kadokawa officially announced the worldwide release of Record of Lodoss War: Queen of Death. This marks the debut webtoon from Studio White, a collaborative production venture formed by Kadokawa, LINE Digital Frontier, and REDICE STUDIO.
The series made its international debut on July 31, rolling out in English and multiple other languages across LINE Manga, ebookjapan, and global WEBTOON platforms, reaching readers in over 150 countries and regions. Prior to its global expansion, the webtoon originally launched in South Korea this past May.
Serving as an official prequel to Ryo Mizuno’s beloved classic fantasy franchise Record of Lodoss War, Queen of Death explores events leading up to the original story, specifically detailing the collapse of the Kingdom of Kastuul on the island of Lodoss.
The creative team behind the adaptation includes Southern Camel handling the script, while Blanton brings the world to life with illustrations. Readers can access the English edition directly through the WEBTOON platform.
